battery pack
Caution
Never leave the battery pack in temperatures
above 60°C (140°F), such as in a car parked in the
sun or under direct sunlight.
The battery pack heats up
During charging or recording, the battery pack
heats up. This is caused by energy that has been
generated and a chemical change that has
occurred inside the battery pack. This is not
cause for concern and is normal.
Battery pack care
•Remove the battery pack form the digital
camcorder after using it, and keep it in a cool
place. When the battery pack is installed to the
digital camcorder, a small amount of current
flows to the digital camcorder even if the
POWER switch is set to OFF. This shortens
battery life.
•The battery pack is always discharging even
when it is not in use after charging. Therefore,
you should charge the battery pack right before
using the digital camcorder.
The switch on the battery pack
This switch is provided so that you can mark the
charged battery pack. Set the switch to the
"green mark" position when charging is
completed. (When removed from the charging
adaptor, the switch exposes the green mark.
When removed from your digital camcorder, no
mark is indicated.)
The life of the battery pack
If the battery indicator flashes rapidly just after
turning on the digital camcorder with a fully
charged battery pack, the battery pack should be
replaced with a new fully charged one.

La batería se calienta
Durante la carga o la grabación, la batería se
calentará. Esto se debe a la energía que se genera
y al cambio químico que se produce en el interior
de la batería. Esto no es motivo de preocupación,
es normal.
Cuidados de la batería
•Extraiga la batería de la videocámara digital
después de haberla utilizado, y guárdela en
un lugar fresco. Cuando la batería esté
instalada en la videocámara digital, fluirá una
pequeña cantidad de corriente a través de ésta a
pesar de que el interruptor POWER esté en
OFF. Esto reducirá la duración de la batería.
•La batería se descarga continuamente, incluso
cuando no se utilice después de haberla
cargado. Por lo tanto, deberá cargar la batería
justo antes de utilizar la videocámara digital.
Señalador de la batería
Este señalador sirve para marcar la batería
cargada. Póngalo en la posición de la "marca
verde" cuando termine de cargar la batería.
(Cuando quite la batería del adaptador, el
señalador mostrará la marca verde. Cuando la
extraiga de la videocámara, no aparecerá
ninguna marca.)
Duración útil de la batería
Si el indicador de estado de la batería parpadea
rápidamente después de haber conectado la
alimentación de la videocámara digital con una
batería completamente cargada, ésta deberá
reemplazarse por otra nueva plenamente
cargada.
