Using the zoom feature
Zooming is a recording technique that lets you
change the size of the subject in the scene.
For more professional-looking recordings, use
the zoom function sparingly.
"T" side: for telephoto (subject appears closer)
"W" side: for wide-angle (subject appears farther
away)
Zooming speed (Variable speed
zooming)
Press the power zoom button a little for a slower
zoom, press it more for a faster zoom.
When you shoot a subject using a telephoto
zoom
If you cannot get a sharp focus while in extreme
telephoto zoom, press the power zoom button to
the "W" side until the focus is sharp. You can
shoot a subject that is at least about 80 cm (about
2 5/8 feet) away from the lens surface in the
telephoto position, or about 1 cm (about 1/2
inch) away in the wide-angle position.
Notes on digital zoom
•More than 10x zoom is performed digitally if
you set D ZOOM to ON in the menu system,
and the picture quality deteriorates as you go
toward the "T" side.

permitirá cambiar el tamaño del motivo en la
escena.
Para que sus videofilmaciones tengan un aspecto
más profesional, no utilice demasiado el zoom.

Si no puede enfocar nítidamente utilizando el
zoom en el extremo de telefoto, presione la tecla
del zoom motorizado hacia el lado "W" hasta
que el motivo quede nítidamente enfocado.
Usted podrá videofilmar un motivo que se
encuentre a 80 cm como mínimo de la superficie
del objetivo, y a 1 cm aproximadamente en la
posición de gran angular.
Notas sobre el zoom digital
•El zoom de más de 10 aumentos se realizará
digitalmente si ha ajustado D ZOOM a ON en
el sistema de menús, y la calidad de las
imágenes se deteriorará a medida que avance
hacia el lado "T".
