TAKING PHOTO IMAGES
• You can take photo images in Photo mode only. page 21
• The DVD camcorder provides two PHOTO buttons. One is on the top
and the other is on the front of the camcorder.
• Taking a photo image is possible on the built-in memory and
memory card.
DVD discs do not support Photo mode.
1. Slide the POWER switch downward to turn on the power and press
the MODE button to set Photo ( ). page 21
• Set the appropriate storage media. page 31
- If you want to record on a memory card, insert the
memory card.
- If you press the MODE button in the movie record
mode of the discmode, the system is switched to
the photo record mode of built-in memory.
2. Check the subject on the LCD screen. (Lens and LCD)
• Set the Lens open/close switch to open
3. Press the PHOTO button to take the picture.
• A shutter sound is heard. When the (
disappears, the photo image has been recorded.
• While saving the photo image on the storage media, you cannot
proceed with the next recording.
• The number of photo images that can be stored depends on
the quality and size of the image. page 37
• The photo image is taken only in the 4:3 aspect ratio as
shown in the bottom illustration.
• Audio will not be recorded with the photo image on the storage
media.
• The memory cards that can be used in this DVD camcorder
are SDHC and MMCplus.
• Please check the protection tab setting on your memory card
before recording. You may not be able to record when it is
locked (SDHC memory card only).
• If focusing is diffi cult, use the manual focus function.

Do not operate the POWER switch or remove the memory

card while accessing the storage media. It may damage the
storage media or data.
• Photo images are actually wider than what appears on the
LCD screen.
• If you press the Record/Photo button on the front side or
PHOTO button while a menu operation is in process, the
product returns to the STBY mode

- Para grabar en una tarjeta de memoria, inserte la
tarjeta de memoria.
- Si presiona el botón MODE en el modo de grabación de video
del modo de disco, el sistema cambia al modo de grabación
de foto de la memoria incorporada.
Coloque el interruptor Abrir/cerrar objetivo en abierto

Se oye el sonido del obturador. Cuando desaparezca el
indicador ( ) , se habrá grabado la imagen fotográfi ca.
Mientras se guarda la imagen fotográfi ca en el soporte
de almacenamiento, no es posible continuar con la
siguiente grabación.
• El número de imágenes fi jas que se pueden guardar
depende de la calidad de la imagen.página 37
• La imagen fotográfi ca únicamente se captura con una
relación de altura/anchura de 4:3 copmo se muestra en
la ilustración de la parte inferior de la página.
• El sonido no se grabará con laimagen fotográfi ca en el
soporte de almacenamiento.
• Las tarjetas de memoria que se puede utilizar en esta
videocámara con DVD son SDHC y MMCplus.
• Compruebe la colocación de la lengüeta de protección en la
tarjeta de memoria antes de la grabación. No podrá grabar
cuando esté bloqueada (sólo tarjeta de memoria SDHC).
• Si resulta difícil enfocar, utilice la función de enfoque manual.

• No accione el interruptor POWER ni retire la tarjeta de
memoria mientras accede al soporte de almacenamiento.
Existe la posibilidad de que se dañe el soporte de
almacenamiento o los datos.
• Las imágenes fotográfi cas son en realidad más anchas de lo
que aparecen en la pantalla LCD.
•
Si presiona el botón Grabar/Foto de la parte frontal o
el botón PHOTO mientras se encuentra en curso las
operaciones de menú, el producto vuelve al modo STBY.
