Verify Wind Sensor Functionality

 S kip this section if awning is NOT equipped
with a wind sensor (located on inside surface
of lead rail).
 PINCH HAZARD. Maintain a hori-
zontal distance of at least 16" between fully open
awning and any permanent object. Failure to obey
this caution could result in injury.
With awning extended to its out limit, shake aw-
ning's lead rail up and down 3" - 4" for approximate-
ly 8 seconds (to simulate wind vibration). Awning
will retract until it's closed. See (FIG. 16).
 I f awning does NOT close, install new batter-
ies in wind sensor (located on inside surface
of lead rail). An LED will light momentarily
(on circuit board) when new batteries are in-
stalled.
Verify potentiometer sensitivity is set to "1"
(factory preset), and that sensor is installed
correctly on sensor base. See (FIG. 17).
If awning still does NOT close, sensor may
need to be reset. (See "Reset Wind Sensor"
in Operating Instructions.)

ADJUSTMENTS (OPTIONAL)

A.

Adjust Fabric Slope (If Desired)

This awning is factory preset for a 5° fabric slope to
help accommodate water runoff. Alternatively, the
awning may be set for a steeper slope (up to 15°)
if adequate clearance (for door, etc.) is available.
See (FIG. 18).
