6 Preinstallation

This section describes actions to take before installation.
NOTICE: Failure to obey the following directions could
result in damage to the unit or to property.
1. Install a 15 A fuse (installer-supplied) at the fuse panel
for the positive (+) 12 VDC power supply ( Red wire)
leading to the product.
2. Disconnect the positive (+) 12 VDC terminal from the
supply battery.
3. Use a grommet (installer-supplied) or equivalent
protection when routing the wire through the RV's
roof, floor, or walls.
4. Determine the best location to install the receiver.

7 Installation

This section describes how to install the receiver and
wind sensor (if applicable).

WARNING: FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK
HAZARD .
For all wire connections, use only NEC-approved
connectors and terminals that are appropriately
sized for the wire gauge. Failure to obey this
warning could result in death or serious injury.
NOTICE: Failure to use NEC-approved connectors and
terminals of the appropriate size could result in property
damage.

7 .1 Installing the Receiver

This section describes how to install the receiver and the
receiver wiring.
1. Secure the receiver to the wall or cabinet using the
installer-supplied screws.

2. Route the wiring harness.

If using dry contact switches, route the installer-
supplied wiring inside the RV from the receiver
location to the dry contact switch installation site.
3. Make the electrical connections according to the
wiring diagrams in Figure 3 and Figure 4.
4. If this unit is being added to an existing awning with
LEDs, disconnect and reconnect the existing LED
switch according to the wiring diagram in Figure 4.

If the existing LED switch is not disconnected,
the LED will not function.
7 .2 Installing the Wind Sensor (If
Applicable)
This section describes how to install the wind sensor (if
applicable).
1. Fully close the awning.
