4. Setting up the instrument
4.1

Site requirement

• Stable, vibration-free laboratory table with horizontal, flat table top, as far as possible vibration-free
ground.
• No direct sunlight or strong temperature fluctuations. Room temperature consistently between +20 °C
and +30 °C.
• Relative air humidity maximum 80 %, non-condensing.
• The instrument should be set up in such a way that the air circulation is not impaired.
• The instrument must be installed in a place that ensures an easy disconnection from the power
supply. The power cable must be in a place that can be easily reached.
Warning
At a room temperature of > +30 °C, the working temperature of the cold plate of -6 °C may not be
reached at all points.
Warning
To ensure proper function and an easy disconnection of the power cable from the instrument, there
must be gap of at least 15 cm behind the instrument. Failure to observe this distance may result in
serious damage to the refrigeration unit of the device. The instrument should not be operated in
hazardous locations.
