3. Scroll to the batch you want to use and then press OK.
The BATCH menu is displayed with the batch name or number at the top.
If CLOSED or OCCUPIED is shown at the top of the display, the batch cannot
be used. CLOSED indicates that the batch has already been used for interval
logging, OCCUPIED indicates that the batch has already been used for manual
logging. In these instances, another batch should be chosen.
• If listed in the menu, and if required, scroll to Recall and then press OK to
evaluate the measurements stored for the selected batch. The RECALL menu
displays the Average, Maximum and Minimum values for all five parameters
of the selected batch.
• If required, scroll to Limits and then press OK to set the limits for the selected
batch and indicate whether the limits should be used. When a limit is
exceeded during measuring, an audible alarm is triggered, a red LED flashes
and the alarm sign is displayed next to the parameter concerned.
• If listed in the menu, and if required, scroll to Clear and then press OK to
delete ALL stored batches from memory (it is not possible to clear individual
batches). Note that cleared batches cannot be recalled and that the cleared
datasets are deleted permanently.
4. Place the rubber tip of the surface temperature sensor against the surface,
preferably at an angle of 90° .
Note: Because holding the surface temperature sensor against a surface for
long periods of time is impractical, it is advisable to use the optional Elcometer
319/2 Dewpoint Meter Dock. The Dock has magnetic feet which will hold the
