The illustrations
shown in these
steps show ANSI
(US) keyboards. ISO
(European) keyboard layouts
vary slightly. If you have an
ISO keyboard and you want to
check key locations for
different specialized layouts,
use the Control Panel's View
Keyboard Layout option (see
page 4-11).
When you switch keyboard layouts, all dialog boxes and keyboard commands
conform to the new layout. The command keys (ctrl
example) remain in the same location, but letter keys are derived from the
new layout. For instance, to access the Speed menu, you still press option-
-S, but the S key is in a different location.
Important: When you send text to your computer from your NEO using a
USB cable and send, the computer must use a QWERTY layout.
To change the keyboard layout, follow these steps:
1. Do one of the following:
From the Control Panel, select Change Keyboard Settings, then
select Change Keyboard layout.
From within a SmartApplet, press option- -L.
2. Select a keyboard layout from the following choices:
Press 1 to select the QWERTY layout.
