Installation examples
The system must be installed so that the operating
and serviceable items are easily accessible. Be sure
to allow sufficient free space (approx. 50 cm) be-
tween the lateral inlet and existing walls.
Install a shut-off valve in the inlet and pressure line in
order to facilitate the work steps during maintenance
or possible dismantling of the system.
To avoid deposits in the horizontal pressure line, the
line and the system must be designed for a minimum
flow rate of 0.7 m/s and at least 1.0 m/s for vertical
lines.
The inflow can take place over a toilet with an inlet
gasket or a drain pipe DN100 with a flexible braid-
ed hose-pipe. The storage tank has a two-stage inlet
connection that must be cut to the appropriate di-
mensions (DN 1000 inlet pipes 107 mm, direct toilet
inlet pipe 128 mm); the same applies to the vertical
inlet pipe DN 50 if required
The discharge line should have a diameter of at least
R 1¼ " and should not be laid in tight bends. The line
must be laid above the backflow level, i.e. it must be
laid in a continuous rise above this level, and must
then feed directly to the manifold in a loop.
Freezing of the discharge line must be excluded. It is
advisable to sufficiently insulate the entire discharge
line all the way to the backflow level.
To avoid backwater in the storage tank, a return flow
prevention valve must be installed in the pressure
line.
In order for the level control unit to function properly
and drain the storage tank , it is essential to lay the
pressure hose between the storage tank and control
unit without bends and at a steadily rising level, with-
out loops. Furthermore proper venting of the storage
tank is essential.
The supplied/connected switchgear must be at-
tached to the wall and be secured against flooding in
accordance with local regulations.

5.3. Commissioning

The chapter contains all important instructions for oper-
ating personnel for the installation and operation of the
system.
To avoid damage to property and personal injury when
starting the machine, the following points must be ob-
served:
The plant may be performed only by qualified person-
nel in compliance with the safety instructions.
All persons working on the system, must have read
and understood the operating instructions.
The machine is suitable only for use at the specified
operating conditions.
Never let the pump run dry for longer periods of time
(risk of overheating).
Before commissioning the system, existing pipe
valves or gate valves must be opened.

5.4. Preparatory work

The machinery was constructed and fitted according to
the latest technology, so that it works for a long time and
reliably under normal operating conditions. This requires
however that you comply with all requirements and infor-
mations. Small oil leakages of the floating ring seals on
delivery are not problematic, but they must be removed
before lowering/immersion into the medium.
Please check the following points:
Cable run - no loops, slightly tightened
All gate valves must be opened
Check accessories, pipework, suspension devices for
firm and correct fitting
Check available level controls/protection against dry
run
