Connecting Smartphones

Overview
Your iPhone or Android smartphone can be registered with the
FRITZ!Box via wireless LAN using the FRITZ!App Fon. Then you can use
the smartphone to make calls to the numbers configured in your
FRITZ!Box whenever you are home. Advantage: No mobile communica­
tion charges will be incurred for outgoing calls, and you can also take
calls to your home telephone line on your smartphone. The smart­
phone can still be reached at your mobile telephone number.

The icon in the FRITZ!App Fon title bar shows the state of the connec­
tion with the FRITZ!Box.

The setting "Allow access for applications" is enabled in the
FRITZ!Box (in the user interface under "Home Network / Home
Network Overview / Network Settings")
Establish a wireless LAN connection to the FRITZ!Box on your
smartphone.
Install FRITZ!App Fon on your smartphone. FRITZ!App Fon is
available from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
Start the FRITZ!App Fon.
FRITZ!App Fon is automatically configured as an IP telephone in
the FRITZ!Box.
