Distributing IPv4 Addresses

Overview
Every network device in the IPv4 home network of the FRITZ!Box has
an address from the IPv4 address range of the FRITZ!Box. Either a
network device receives its IPv4 address automatically from the DHCP
server of the FRITZ!Box, or you enter the IP address manually in the
network settings of the network device.
IPv4 DHCP Server
DHCP stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. A DHCP server
in the IPv4 network assigns IPv4 addresses to the network devices
automatically. Assigning the IP addresses via the DHCP server ensures
that all of the network devices connected with the FRITZ!Box are
located in the same IP network.
The DHCP server of the FRITZ!Box is enabled upon delivery.
One part of the IPv4 address range of the FRITZ!Box is reserved for the
DHCP server. The DHCP server assigns IP addresses from this range
to the network devices.
IPv4 Addresses Reserved for the DHCP Server upon Delivery
192.168.178.20 - 192.168.178.200
You can change the address range for the DHCP server if needed:

Requirement
If there are many network devices in the network,
many IP addresses will be needed. In this case
the address range of the DHCP server can be
enlarged. Example for a larger range:
