Important Notes

7.3.1

Notes on PV

In critical fault condition, if the RMA is toggling Last know Good value on the screen with bad
transmitter message, the PV unit will not be visible.

While switching between normal condition to burnout condition PV value will increase/decrease in
steps before showing error message on RMA screen.

After mode switch from A-D during high currents (ex: high saturation and above), the PV value
will be shown as 0.0 for approximately 2-3 seconds, then it will recover to actual value.

Notes on Saturation

Saturation conditions in RMA do not follow NAMUR standard

Low and high saturation conditions are not displayed when device is in digital mode

RMA displays saturation condition only when loop current reaches 20.5 for high and 3.8 for low

Analysis
Use a DE communicator to read the
detailed status information from the
transmitter. Refer to the appropriate
communicator manual for more
information about the possible failure
causes.
Go to the RMA DG menu on the
StandardDdisplay and check the
detailed failure causes.

If this fault occure in Analog
mdoe then Check the RMA
calibration are correct. if
problem not resolved then
Cycle power to the transmitter.
If the problem continues to
occur replace the transmitter.
Cycle power to the transmitter.
If the problem continues to
occur replace the Electronics
Module.
