Troubleshooting
Problem
The dust of the dust
case does not rotate
Dust spills out of the body when
the dust case is removed.
Dust spills out
when attachments
are removed.
The rotary brush of
the power head or
mini power head
stops or rotates
poorly.
The rotary brush of the
power head stops, or
the LED lights turn off.
(The filter indicator lamp
flashes.)
The rotary brush of the
mini power head stops.
The handy nozzle tip,
crevice brush tip, and
broom brush tube might
leave a mark on the floor.
LED lights are dim
There is a clattering sound
coming from the power
head or mini power head.
The battery
indicator lamp
does not turn on
(the lamp is off)
even when the
body is set on the
charging station.

Things to check
Dust might not rotate depending on the type of dust and how it
accumulates, which is normal.
Has the dust in the dust case
exceeded the dust disposal line?
Has the dust in the dust case
exceeded the dust disposal line?
If operation is stopped while the body is in operation facing upwards, dust might
remain in the body air duct. Stop operation while the body is facing downwards.
Is the remaining battery level low?
[Battery indicator lamp flashes (about two times per second)]
Are the power head or mini power
head securely attached?
Are the power head and mini power
head not touching the floor or the
surface of cloth?
Is dust stuck to the rotary brush, safety switch, etc.?
Is the rotary brush set to stop?
The rotary brush might stop
automatically to prevent the power
head motor from overheating.
The rotary brush might stop automatically to prevent the motor from
overheating. The safeguard is released after 5 to 60 minutes automatically.
Remove with a soft cloth, etc.
Is the remaining battery level low?
The safety switch is designed to produce the sound, which is normal.
Is the plug of the charging station
firmly inserted into the socket?
Is the body securely set on the charging station?
Is the battery fully charged?
Are the metal contacts of the
charging station or body dirty?
Did you not operate the body and leave it unattended for a long period of time without charging
it? When leaving it unattended, the battery might have to be replaced because its performance
and life might be deteriorated. Please consult with the Hitachi authorized service agent.

Set the body on the charging station
for charging.
Securely attach it.
The body is designed to stop operating when lifted
from the floor. Place the power head on the floor
and the mini power head on the surface of cloth.
Remove the dust.
Press and hold the "High" button for
5 seconds or more during operation
to resume rotating the rotary brush.
Empty the dust case and perform
maintenance (wash with water) on
the filters. Remove the object that is
blocking the inlet.
Set the body on the charging station
for charging.
Firmly insert the plug.
Securely set it.
When fully charged, the battery indicator lamp turns off.
Unplug the battery and power plug, and remove
the dust on the contacts with a dry cloth.
