Protective filter

Remove the protective filter from the body.

Gently press and wash the protective filter with water.
Tap to remove excess water and air dry it for approx. 12 hours. (The drying time varies depending on the
environment and season.)
After it dries, attach it to the body.
Do not wash using a washing machine.
Note
Also, do not dry it with hot air such as that from a hair dryer.
Doing so might cause a performance degrade, damage, or deformation.
Do not rub the sponge filter and the protective filter when washing it.
Doing so might cause damage or deformation.
Remove the attached dust lightly before washing with water.
Do not use any other brushes than the attached maintenance brush.
Doing so might cause damage.
After washing the filters with water, thoroughly air dry it before attaching it.
Do not use them without drying. Doing so might clog the filters soon and cause poor vacuum or
abnormal odor.
Attach the dust case and filters before operation.
If any dust enters the motor, the filter inside the body might be clogged and an abnormal sound might
be generated from the body.
In this case, please consult with the Hitachi authorized service agent.
If the suction power is weak even after washing the filters with water, the clean filter, sponge filter,
protective filter, etc. might be worn.
