TROUBLESHOOTING
other SymptomS
Symptoms
Slewing is not possible or not
smooth
Hydraulic oil temperature is
too high
Starter motor turns but
engine does not start
Crawlers come off
Engine exhaust is white or
bluish
Engine exhaust is
occasionally black
Irregular noise is produced
from the engine
(combustion or mechanical
noise)
Major causes
• Insufficient grease on slew
bearing
• Hydraulic oil level too low
• Insufficient fuel
• Air in fuel system
• Water in fuel system
• Crawlers too loose
• Tensioning cylinder valve is
loose.
• Excessive engine oil
• Poor fuel
• Air cleaner is clogged
• Low quality fuel is being
used
• Engine is overheating
• Damage inside the muffler

• Grease the bearing.

• Add up to the specified
level.
