Before removing the hinge covers, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the hinge covers:
1. Remove the four black Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws and the four Phillips PM2.0×5.7 screws (1) that secure
the hinge covers to the computer.
2. Remove the hinge covers using a rotating motion toward the rear of the computer (2).
Reverse this procedure to install the hinge covers.
