Reminder Messages and Notifications on Non-
Display Phones
To answer a
reminder
message or a
notification on a
non-display
telephone
To respond to a
PhoneMail
notification on a
non-display
telephone with a
PhoneMail
status light
On a non-display telephone, the Mailbox status light
turns on when you have a reminder message or a
ROLMfax notification waiting in your mailbox. Only
one message or notification can be waiting in your
mailbox at any time. Subsequent callers who attempt
to leave you a reminder message will receive an error
tone and, if they have display telephones, the message
PLEASE TRY LATER will appear.
If you have a PhoneMail key (PHMAIL), its status
light, instead of the one for the Mailbox key, turns on
when you have a PhoneMail message.
When the Mailbox status light is turned on,
press the MAILBOX key. The CBX will call
back the party that left you the message or the
PhoneMail or ROLMfax system. If the party or
system answers, the message or notification is
deleted automatically. When you hang up, the
Mailbox status light turns off.
When the PhoneMail (PHMAIL) status light is
turned on, press the PHMAIL key. The CBX
calls the PhoneMail system. If the system
answers, your PHMAIL status light turns off
after you hang up.
