Can I pair my G1 SCBA with a non-Motorola Bluetooth radio?
• No. MSA only approves the use of the SCBA with Motorola APX version radios.
What happens to the Bluetooth connection when I take off my regulator and the radio remains on?
• The G1 will automatically disconnect the BT connection when the regulator on the SCBA is turned off,
and the radio will resort back to normal functionality. The G1 will also automatically reconnect the BT
connection to the radio the next time the regulator is in use.
Why does the large push to talk button on the RSM not work?
• This is the expected behavior of the Motorola RSM when in Bluetooth mode and connected to an SCBA.
The smaller push-to-talk button must be used to transmit audio directly through the G1 to the radio. If the
larger push-to-talk button is used, audio will still transmit, but it will not go directly through the SCBA and
will not take advantage of the G1 audio filtering.
