Installing the Open Controller CPU Module

You can install only one open controller CPU module per open controller
chassis.
Important: Before you install the open controller CPU module:
• turn off power to the chassis
• on the CPU, connect the battery (1747-OCE) or set the battery enable
jumper (1747-OCF)
• set the jumpers for:
– COM2 serial protocol
– user-defined jumper
– local I/O scanner configuration (1747-OCF only)
• install the system memory
• install optional embedded IDE drive (FlashDrive, CompactFlash, or
microdrive)
• install the LED mask
