Parameter
Description
Character delay
The shortest character delay time (ZVZ) depends on the baud rate:

Baud rate (Bit/s)

2400
4800

19200, 57600, 76800
n
Message frame
When the end criterion is "fixed message frame length", the number of bytes
length
making up a message frame is defined.
n
Transmission
For synchronization pausing may be deactivated here.

Here the parameters for the ASCII driver may be set. At ASCII the parameter settings for
the character frame and the baud rate must be identical on every communication partner.
During ASCII transmission the end of the receive messages frame may be recognized in
different ways:
n
on expiry of character delay time
n
on receipt of fixed number of characters
n
on receipt of end character(s)
Depending upon the mode the corresponding parameters may be specified here.
The character delay time (ZVZ) defines the maximum amount of time permitted between
two incoming characters within a message frame.
