Transmitter

5.1 Introduction

Sensor removal should only be conducted by, or under the supervision of, a healthcare
practitioner. After this chapter, the user will be able to:
• Remove a sensor and transmitter

5.2 Remove Sensor and Transmitter

The sensor and the transmitter are removed together.

Thoroughly wash and dry hands.
Put on gloves. 
Pull patch off like a bandage. The
transmitter, holder, and sensor all
come off with the patch.

Grasp the wide rounded edge of the
holder. Bend holder edge down to
break it and release the transmitter.
