Define the flange
You can define the flange characteristics in a vertical alignment job.

Customize the flange
After defining the flange, you can further customize it by moving the shaft center away
from the flange center or by moving one or more bolts to a non-symmetrical location.

*Measure to the nearest 1/8 inch (3 mm).
Note
You need to enter all machine dimensions.
On the Define Flange screen, enter the dimensions for the flange location where
moves are to be made and press Enter.

for more information.
Enter machine dimensions and press Enter.
From the Define Flange screen, press F2 Change Flange Type to select a circular or
rectangular flange.
Press F5 Custom Pattern to enable or disable customizing the bolt pattern for the
flange.
A selected button means the option is enabled.
Define the number of bolts:
a. When using a circular flange, press F8 Number of Bolts to define the total number
of bolts in the flange.
b. When using a rectangular flange, define the following:
Press F8 Number of X Bolts to define the total number of bolts on the flange in
the X direction.
Press F9 Number of Y Bolts to define the total number of bolts on the flange in
the Y direction.
Press F10 Pattern X Width to define the X dimension width of the flange.
Press F11 Pattern Y Width to define the Y dimension width of the flange.
Press Enter.
If you enabled Custom Pattern in step 3, pressing Enter displays the Custom Pattern
screen. See
Section 7.6.3
for more information on the Custom Pattern screen.
