Sentinel V SC and RT Operation Manual
Installing Feature Upgrades
The feature upgrade installation program is used to install Waves and Bottom Track capabilities in a Sen-
tinel V Real-Time system. Feature upgrades can be sent via a Sentinel V RT Utilities *.feature file.
Features can only be activated or deactivated when connected to the ADCP and require a
Feature file (*.feature) that is tied to the ADCP's serial number.
Contact your local sales representative if you are interested in upgrading your system.
Features ordered with the system will be installed by TRDI.
Save the *.feature file in a folder that has full read/write permissions. For example, if you
save the file to the AppData folder, you may get a file load error.
Many feature upgrades require the latest firmware version to be installed in your Sentinel V
Real-Time ADCP. If you need to update the firmware, do this before installing the feature
upgrade (see
