Connecting the power cord and switching on the QIAcube
Connect the power cord to the back of the QIAcube and make sure that the door of the QIAcube
is closed. Switch on the QIAcube: the beeper sounds, the startup screen appears, the instrument
performs initialization tests, and the centrifuge lid opens.
Installing the rotor
To install the rotor, line up position 1 of the rotor with the pin on the rotor shaft and carefully lower
the rotor onto the shaft. Install the rotor nut on top of the rotor and tighten securely using the rotor
key supplied with the QIAcube.

Power switch
To install the centrifuge buckets, hold each bucket at an angle with the gray line facing the center
of the rotor and hang the bucket on the rotor. Check that all buckets are properly suspended and
can swing freely.
Shaker
Make sure that the shaker adapter and shaker rack are properly seated on the shaker unit.
The QIAcube is intended to be used only in combination with QIAGEN kits indicated for use with
the QIAcube for the applications described in the kit handbooks.

The rotor nut must be securely tightened using the rotor key supplied with QIAcube.
If the rotor nut is not tightened properly, it can become loose during operation
of the centrifuge.
