Enjoying DTV broadcasts

Customising channel related settings

This section describes how to customise various channel related
settings. These settings include favourite channel registration and
Parental Lock setting.

Registering channels in the Favourite List

This function allows you to quickly tune in the desired channel by
registering favourite channels and/or frequently viewed channels
previously selected from the channel list in the Favourite List.

Press HOME MENU.

Select "Setup" (/ then ENTER).

Select "DTV Setup" (/ then ENTER).

Select "Channel Setup" (/ then ENTER).
• The password entry screen appears. Enter your 4-digit
password using buttons 0 to 9.

Select "Favourites" (/ then ENTER).

Select the desired channel(s) that you want to register in
the Favourite List (/ then ENTER).
• Each time you press ENTER, a mark appears on the selected
channel indicating that it has been registered in the
Favourite List.
• To cancel a registration, press ENTER again on the
registration mark. The mark disappears and the registration
is canceled.

Press HOME MENU to exit the menu.
Note
• You can select "DTV Setup" only while viewing DTV channels.

Parental Control

With the Parental Control, adults can prevent children from
watching inappropriate TV programmes. When an attempt is made
to watch a blocked programme, the plasma display shows nothing
but a message. Parental Control functions for digital TV channels.

Press HOME MENU.

Select "Setup" (/ then ENTER).

Select "DTV Setup" (/ then ENTER).

Select "Channel Setup" (/ then ENTER).
• The password entry screen appears. Enter your 4-digit
password using buttons 0 to 9.

Select "Parental Control" (/ then ENTER).

Select the desired rating and change the setting (/).

Press HOME MENU to exit the menu.

Parental Rating options

You can choose from the following options to block TV
programmes:
No Block
• All programmes can be watched without any age limitation.
Block All
• All programmes are blocked.
General and above
• For general audiences. Not specifically designed for children
but all ages are allowed.
Parental Guidance and above
• Some material may not be suitable for children. Parental
guidance suggested.
Mature and above
• Mature audience 15+. Programmes are blocked for children
under 15.
Mature Adult and above
• Specifically designed for adults. Some material may be
inappropriate for children under 15.
Adult Violence and above
• Programmes are blocked for children under 15 as these
programmes contain strong violent content.
