PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse Connector
(CN20)
The Gene-6310 provides a keyboard connector which supports
both a keyboard and a PS/2 style mouse. In most cases, especially
in embedded applications, a keyboard is not used. The standard
PC/AT BIOS will report an error or fail during power-on-self-test
(POST) after a reset if the keyboard is not present. The mainboard
BIOS Advanced Setup Menu can let you select "Present" or "Ab-
sent" under the "System Keyboard" section, allowing no-keyboard
operation in the applications of embedded system and won't cause
the system halting under POST.
