    LCR-8000G Series User Manual Measurement tip If the measured impedance is greater than 1kΩ, Hi/Low the standard four-terminal connection is not impedance necessary. Run S/C trim to remove the effect of series lead impedance. If the measured impedance is lower than 1kΩ, four-terminal connection can reduce the effect of contact resistance at the test component.
  • Page 35 GETTING STARTED When measuring small or SMD-size inductors Very Small Valued Inductors with a very-low inductance, run S/C trim at the measurement frequency (Spot trimming). The LCR-8000G measures the difference between the inductance of S/C trimming and the inductance of the test component.
  • Page 36 LCR-8000G Series User Manual Air-cored coils can pick up noise very easily, Air-cored coils therefore they should be kept well clear of any test equipment that may contain power transformers or display scan circuitry. Also, keep the coils away from metal objects which may modify inductor characteristics.
