The TX 520 has a set of buttons for controlling devices, such as VTRs, directly
from its console. The machine control panel can be used to preview material
before it is taken to air.
The machine control panel is located in the top left row on the lower console.
The first six buttons - which correspond to <START>, <STOP>, <STBY>,
<PREV>, <NEXT>, <PAUSE> - are command buttons, used for operating the
selected device. They correspond to buttons on the machine itself.
The next three buttons - <1>, <2>, <3> - are used to select the device you wish to
operate. This varies according to the installation at your site. The machine control
panel can be connected to :
· either three dedicated devices. In this case, the <1>, <2>, <3> buttons
each correspond to a different machine (see ection 9.1).
· or up to 20 devices, via a router. In this case, the machine to be controlled
is connected through one of the source busses, and then the buttons are
labelled <PST>, <AUX1>, and <AUX2 (see section 9.2). This is only
available when the system is NOT under automation control, or if the AUTO
control is OFF.
