The over source can be cut or faded to air by pressing a single button. The fade
rate is defined through a screen on the plasma display. It can also be set to follow
the next video or DVE transition.

Two auxiliary monitoring busses, AUX1 and AUX2, can be accessed directly from
the TX 520 (see chapter 7).
AUX1 can have separate or married video and audio. AUX2 has married video
and audio only.
For audio monitoring (see chapter 8), there are two sets of dual channel outputs
selecting PGM, PST, AUX1, AUX2, or off-air/external sources. The audio level for
each can be cut or dimmed via dedicated buttons, with a variable control for
volume
If the TX 520 has been installed to support multi-level audio, eight push buttons
allow the selection of the audio level to be heard on the main control system
speaker outputs.
The first four buttons allow selection of the stereo audio channel for the monitor 1
speaker. The last four buttons are for selecting those for the monitor 2 speaker.

The TX 520 allows control of connected machines (for example, VTRs) either
directly through buttons on the control panel console.
Three buttons are used to elect the machine to be operated. The way this works
depends on how the TX 520 is installed. The buttons can be dedicated to three
directly connected machines or they can be connected to an external router,
allowing control of up to 20 machines.
