chapter 12) To change these rates refer to the technical manual. One or two DSKs
(see chapter 4) plus an audio over (see chapter 6) can also be added to the
transition.

A take replaces the programme on-air with the sources that are preselected on the
PST bus. The take uses the transition type and speed that have already been
selected.
DSKs (see chapter4) and an audio-over (see chapter 6) can be set to follow the
transition.

The red buttons in the centre of the bottom row of the lower console are used to
carry out a transition. They are as follows:
<PRE-ROLL & TAKE>
Used to start a machine (for example, a VTR) and take married video/audio to air
after a pre-configured delay. The pre-roll countdown timer displays above this
button.
When the switcher is automated by Pro-Bel automation, processing the <PRE-
ROLL & TAKE> button causes the next event to take.
