  • Page 4 2. AMPLIFIER 2.1 About The Amplifier greatly improves signal strength when using your portable AMPS phone inside the car. The signal is received by the outside antenna from the cell site. It is then AMPLIFIED/REPEATED and then transmitted to your AMPS phone through the inside antenna. When the phone transmits it is received by the inside antenna.

AMPLIFIER/REPEATER INSTALLATION (REFER TO ILLUSTRATION) 3.1 Installing the Outside Antenna (800 MHz Magnet Mount) [Sold Separately] 3.1.1 Select a location on the roof: Try to keep Antenna centered on the car roof. 3.1.2 The Outside Antenna should be located in an area with at least a 12” (30cm) radius clear of obstructions, and other radiating elements.
