Front Panel Configuration
The 520 indicator can be configured using a series of menus accessed through the indicator front panel when the
indicator is in setup mode. Table 3-1 summarizes the functions of each of the main menus.

Four front panel keys are used as directional keys to navigate through the menus in setup mode (see Figure 3-2).
The
( ) and
UNITS
PRINT
( ) move up and down (vertically) to different menu levels. The
GROSS/NET
key for selecting parameter values within the menus. A label over each of these keys identifies the direction
provided by the key when navigating through the setup menus.
Configure grads, zero tracking, zero range, motion band, overload, A/D sample rate, tare
function, power-up mode, and digital filtering parameters.
Set format of primary and secondary units, decimal format, and display rate.
Calibrate indicator. See Section 4.0 on page 36 for calibration procedures.
Configure EDP and printer serial ports.
Set date and time formats, passwords, keyboard locks, regulatory mode, and user ID
consecutive number values; enable accumulator, checkweigh, count mode, peak hold, gravity
adjustment and millivolt calibration; define setpoint prompts.
Set print format used for header, gross, net, count, setpoint, and EDP format tickets. See
Section 11.0 for more information.
Configure setpoints and batching mode.
Assign digital input functions.
Configure analog output module. Used only if analog output option is installed.
Display installed software version number.
