How to use SpectroDrive and the software ExPresso 3

3.1 Operation of SpectroDrive

• Place the measurement device on
the horizontal track.
• The module for the wireless data trans-
mission has to be positioned as close as
possible to the measurement device with
the front pointing to the measurement
system as shown on the image.
Please connect it to the PC via
the USB cable after the installation of
the software which was described in the
previous chapter.
• By pressing the green measurement button
the device will move into the docking-station
at the left, where it is automatically charged,
which is indicated by a green-flashing LED.
• You can align the measurement system in
vertical direction while keeping the black
buttons on the left and right holder pressed.
First, position the printed sheet at the lower
lay-on edge and then move both holders
vertically, so that the measurement head is
exactly on top of the color patches. It can be
helpful to slide the measurement device from
one side to the other in order to check that
the measurement aperture covers the complete
color bar during a scan. It is important that the
measurement aperture always covers the color
patches completely during the entire scan.
