Troubleshooting

Possible faults

This section will help you diagnose problems that may occur when working with the instrument.
If a problem cannot be resolved by following the instructions, please contact your Leica Biosystems
technical service center. For further instructions, please refer to
The table below lists the most common problems that may occur as well as possible causes and
remedies.
Problem
1. Control panel
The control panel button has no
response.
The melting indicator is still
blinking when the defined melt-
ing time is over.
2. Paraffin tank
Paraffin does not completely
melt.
The paraffin tank is overheated.
3. Illumination does not work.

Possible cause
- The
cable/connector
loose.
- The touch panel is contami-
nated by the paraffin.
- The control panel is broken.
- Software malfunction.
- The Start time is not correct.
- The control board has failed.
- The heating limiter is broken.
- The circuit board is broken.
- The LED cable is broken.
- The LED is broken.
