Indicator Lights During Powerup
During powerup, the lights function as follows:
1.
PWR
light
comes on when Mac Disk is turned on.
2.
CIIK light blinks until powerup completes.
3.
H/W, COM,
and
CBK
lights
blink in
succession
five
times if Mack Disk
has
been
initialized.
or
R/", COM, and CHK lights blink
together
1.2
times
if Mac Disk has not been initialized. or if there
~
some problem reading the disk.
If
an eITOr occurs after you
first twn on
your
Mac
Disk, the CBK and/or COM lights will comeQn and stay
on. The CHK light stays on
if
there'
is
a processor error;
the COM light stays on if there is
a
ROM checkswn eITOrj
and CBK and COM both stay on if there
is
a RAM error.
Indicator Lights During
Nonna. Operation
During normal operation, the indicator lights
function
as
follows:
1.
PWR light comes on when the
~(ac
Disk is turned
on and remains on until
Mac Disk is
turned off.
2.
CHI(
light comes on when a disk sector is being
remapped.
3.
COM light comes on when Nlac Disk receives a
request from Macintosh
and
stays on for the period
of time that it. takes to process the request.
4.
R/W
light comes on whenever the disk drive is
selected and goes off when the disk drive is
deselected.
