11. The band must be tight enough to help
stop the transmitter from slipping off,
and loose enough to avoid discomfort.
12. Push the unsnapped side of the clamp
until it snaps into place. The transmitter
becomes active one minute after the
clamps are snapped into place. The 60
second grace period allows the
transmitter to be re-opened once the
transmitter's second clamp has been
secure.
13. Use safety scissors to cut off the excess
banding material.
To unlock a transmitter:
1. Insert the Locking Clamp Key into the
hole on the top-side of the transmitter.
2. Turn the key ¼ turn in any direction.
3. Stop and pull with the key until the
locking side of the clamp opens.
4. Remove the Locking Clamp Key.
5. Pull back the non-locking side of the
clamp.
6. Follow the instructions to band or
loosen the approved banding material
and slip the Transmitter off of the
patient.
