6.3.3 Sealing end at a building's structure

If HVI power Conductor are installed on a building's structure, the calculated separation distance
®
"s" in the sealing end range must be maintained from the metal parts in the building´s structure.
The sealing end range ranges from the EB connection element to the connection of the earth connec-
tion element (see Fig. 13).
The mechanical contact with the EB element (semiconductive sheath) allows to discharge lightning
impulse voltages to a reference potential. To this end, a conductive connection to the next equipotential
bonding system (equipotential bonding level) of the installation is required.
A UNI disconnecting clamp (Part No. 459 200, 200 kA) is used to connect the earth connection element
of the HVI power Conductor to the earth-termination system.
