Cutting HVI

tors
The HVI
cutter (cable pliers, Part No. 597 032) can be used to cut HVI
®
required length. Ensure right-angled cut!
The stripping tool (Part No. 597 227) allows the outer semiconductive sheath and the PE insulation of
the HVI
power Conductor to be easily and reliably stripped without damaging the copper conductor
®
underneath it.
The HVI
strip 27 tool consists of a handle and an exchangeable stripping insert. This HVI
®
stripping insert (Part No. 597 127) can be reordered individually. The stripping insert is plugged into
the handle without tools via a bayonet coupling. The stripping length can be adjusted in steps of 0.2
mm by means of the knob housed in the handle. The chosen stripping length is visible on the scale of
the handle.
The effective stripping length corresponds to the set length with a tolerance of ± 2 mm (see Fig. 2).
The HVI
strip 27 tool is handled as follows:
®
Set the stripping length (35 mm) on the tool or check whether the set length is correct.
Â
Attach the stripping insert of the tool to the cut conductor end.
Â
The sheath is cut / stripped by turning the handle clockwise and applying light pressure by means
Â
of the tool.
