Repairing errors
1. Steps to remove refrigerant system components
If the refrigerant system components are found to be malfunctioning, remove and replace the components using the
following refrigerant recovery procedure as reference.
Error location
1
• Compressor (M1C, M2C, M3C)
• Electronic expansion valve EV 3, 4, 5
• Four way valve A, B, C
• High pressure switch
• Low pressure switch
2
• Electronic expansion valve EV 1, 2
• Solenoid valve SV0, 1
3
• Freezer showcase
• Booster unit
4
• Refrigeration showcase
5
• Indoor air-conditioner
6
• High pressure sensor
• Low pressure sensor

*During the above refrigerant recovery, if recovery is of liquid refrigerant, ensure you add refrigerant oil as per the following guidelines:
Refrigerant oil name:
Volume of refrigerant oil to be added: recovery liquid refrigerant volume (kg) × 0.05 litres
(e.g. if the recovery volume is 24 kg, 24 × 0.05 = 1.2 litres replaced)
Location of additional filling:
Procedure for charging refrigeration oil
<Items to prepare>
• Charging cylinder (the inside must be fully cleaned and dried)
• Valves to be connected to the front/rear of the cylinder
• Refrigeration oil (FVC68D) 1 liter can
• φ6.4 piping
• Waste cloth
• Vacuum pump
Keep oil airtight as oil quickly tends to absorb water (only open the
can just before charging the oil).
<Procedure for charging oil>
First open the valve B, and then evacuate the air from the
cylinder.
Prepare the oil can and piping as shown in the Figure below.
Charge the oil into the cylinder by gradually opening the valve A while evacuating the air (be careful not to suck oil
into the vacuum pump).
While watching inside the can, check the oil level decreasing and stop charging just before the oil runs out.
A
Refrigerant tank
After oil charging into the cylinder is completed, open valve A or B to charge the refrigerant.

Oil can
Evacuate the air after the oil charging is completed.
Finish the oil once the can is opened (Leftover oil must be disposed
of as a waste product).
Make connections for additional refrigerant charging as shown
in the Figure below.
Evacuate the air between the connecting piping of the outdoor
unit and valve C to eliminate any remaining air between the
refrigerant tank and valves A and B.
Open valve B and charge the refrigerant and oil at the same
time (Valve A is closed).
