    Set up your television Set up your television – introduction The television must be set up by qualified service personnel according to the guide for the stand or bracket. The television has several placement options. Guidelines for placement and connection must be followed. To ensure proper ventilation, allow enough space around the screen.

    Set the maximum angle the television will turn on the motorised floor stand or wall bracket. Remember to leave enough space around the television to allow it to turn freely. If your television is mounted on the motorised table stand, it can be slightly tilted to avoid disturbing reflections.

    Connect a computer Before you connect a computer, you must disconnect the television, the computer and all connected products from the mains supply. 1. Using the appropriate type of cable, connect one end to the DVI or HDMI output socket on your computer, and the other end to an HDMI IN socket on the television.

In this mode, you may experience excessive movie judder, especially with very bright pictures. Adaptive: Makes the television measure the light level in the picture and adjusts judder cancellation accordingly.

    Sound settings Loudspeaker setup – surround sound Add BeoLab speakers and subwoofers to your television wired or wirelessly and you can have a surround sound system which fits easily into your living room. You get the best sound experience in the area bounded by the speakers. When you connect additional speakers to your television, wired speakers are automatically detected by the television.
  • Page 41 Bass management When switched on, the low frequency content in the audio signal may be re-routed to different loudspeakers, depending on their capabilities. Bass management redirects low frequencies to the most capable loudspeakers in your current setup. For example, if you have two small loudspeakers and a subwoofer, the low frequency signals will be directed to your subwoofer instead of to your smaller main speakers.

The maximum amount of level increase in bass and treble can be set under Bass max and treble max. Note that Loudness boost will only have effect if Loudness in the Sound menu is activated.

    Clip proctection: Each of the audio signal paths also has a peak limiter protecting its outputs to ensure that the speaker signals are not clipped at high listening levels. Disabling these peak limiters under Clip protection allow high- level signal to pass unmodified to the DAC.
