television, enter the pin code provided by your Bang & Olufsen retailer.

Five incorrect entries will cause the television to shut down for three hours, during which
operation is not possible. The standby indicator will flash red quickly. Note, that the
television must be connected to the mains during this period.
Should you lose or forget your code, contact your Bang & Olufsen retailer. Your retailer
can provide you with a master code, which disables your pin code.
When operating your television, you may need to use different pin codes other than the
pin code described here. Pin codes are used for protective reasons, due to mandatory
requirement from providers and by external equipment. It may be easier for you if you
choose the same code for different systems when possible.
Deactivate the pin code system
You can activate or deactivate your pin code at all times. If the pin code system is already
activated, you are prompted to enter your pin code when you bring up the Pin code
menu.

1. In the Pin code menu, select On to activate the pin code system or Off to
deactivate the system.
2. If you select On, enter a four-digit pin code and press the centre button. Re-
enter the code and press the centre button to confirm.
3. If you select Off, enter your four-digit pin code and press the centre button to
save.
If you inadvertently press a wrong button while entering a code, press the yellow button
to delete a digit or press the red button to clear an input field.
Change your pin code
You can change your pin code at all times. If the pin code system is already activated,
you are prompted to enter your pin code when you bring up the Pin code menu.

1. In the Pin code, menu select New pin code.
2. Enter your pin code and press the centre button.
3. Enter a new four-digit pin code, then press the centre button.
4. Re-enter the new pin code and press the centre button to confirm.
If you inadvertently press a wrong button while entering a code, you can select Clear to
clear the input field.
If you change your pin code more than five times within a three-hour period, the Pin
code menu becomes inaccessible for three hours, provided that the television is not
disconnected from the mains. Disconnecting the television resets the three-hour period.
