4.2 DSP Slot assembly rule

Up to a maximum of 3 DSP Cards can be inserted in a Compact SCore if no active cooling (fan unit underneath
the Rack) is provided. The cards must be inserted according to the following rule otherwise the passive cooling
of the cards can not be guaranteed:
Figure 1 - one DSP card
If more than 3 DSP cards are inserted, active cooling is required. Therefore the DSP card 4, 5 and 6 can be
inserted in any remaining empty slot.

4.3 Primary power supply

Two different primary power supplies are available for the Compact SCore:
Studer part number
1.949.403
1.943.303
Up to a maximum configuration with 2 DSP cards can be supplied with the 200 W (1.949.403) power supply
(the same power supply used in the D21m IO system). If 3 or more DSP cards are inserted in a Compact SCore
the 400 W power supply (1.943.303) must be used.

4.4 Active cooling

Wherever the Compact SCore is placed in an environment where active cooling is possible the Studer 1U fan
unit (1.940.597) or any equivalent active cooling unit must be mounted underneath the frame in order to
guarantee the best quality for the customer.
If more than 3 DSP cards are inserted in a Compact SCore this fan unit is mandatory!
