2.4 Compact SCore Cards

The audio processing part of the Compact SCore (the core part) is based on the following components:

2.4.1 Compact SCore Host Card

The Compact SCore Host Card (1.943.325) is the main controller of the system and hosts the mixing engine
control software (e.g. OA3k based on WinCE.net).
The backplane connector carries the AUX and I2C Bus as well as UART0..2 serial interfaces and provides 5V
power to the board. The card is hot-swappable but requires a power-cycle in order to correctly re-initialize the
DSP cards.

2.4.2 Compact SCore DSP Card (Hybrid)

The DSP Card used in the Compact SCore is equipped with 1 SH4 and 6 DSP processing elements and therefore
represents the Hybrid version of the SCore DSP card family.
Type (0..7) and Revision (0..15) of each DSP Card can be read out over the I2C Bus.
The card type range from 2..7 is available for future DSP card versions (SCore PRO, etc...) in order to
distinguish between the cards before accessing them over the AUX or TDM bus.
Please note that the Backplane and PSU I2C devices do NOT require the Type field in order to distinguish them
as the devices are hard-wired to predefined I2C addresses and only one device can be present in a System.
