Description
Power button board
Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the any smart cards and memory cards.

Remove the base enclosure (see

Remove the battery (see

Remove the hard drive (see

Remove the SSD (see
9.
Remove the power connector cable (see

Remove the fans (see
11.
Remove the system board (see
Remove the power button board:
1.
Remove the two Phillips 3 mm screws (1) that secure the power button board.
2.
Disconnect the power button board cable (2).
