6. Personal Medical Devices
Wireless modem devices may affect the operation of cardiac pacemakers, hearing aids and certain
other implanted equipment. If a minimum distance of 15 cm (6 inches) is maintained between the MTX-
Java-IoT modem radiating antenna and a pacemaker, the risk of interference is limited. If the user's
application is likely to be situated in the vicinity of personnel, a suitable warning should be contained in
the equipment manual to this effect.
