Tuner mode

This device can receive radio stations in the FM
frequency ranges as well as MW and LW.
Set the device to the region Europe,
USA, South America or Thailand
The device is set to the frequency ranges and
station technologies of the region in which it was
purchased. You can adjust this setting to the dif-
ferent frequency ranges and station technologies
of Europe, the United States, South America or
Thailand. To do so, the device must be switched
off :
Simultaneously press the AUDIO < and
u
button A while switching on the device.
The display shows "TUNER AREA" and the cur-
rent setting as well as a list of available options.
Press the rocker switch
u
switch between the regions EUROPE, USA,
SAMERICA and THAILAND.
Confi rm the setting with the OK button :.

Note:
The tuner functions described in these oper-
ating instructions refer to the region Europe
(tuner setting "EUROPE").
Starting tuner mode
Press the SOURCE button 8 repeatedly
u
until "TUNER" appears on the display.
OR:
Press the TUNER button =.
u
The playback starts immediately with the previ-
ously played station if the vehicle is within the
reception area of this station.

In tuner mode, you can adjust and store stations
in the current waveband and select stored sta-
tions (for further details, please read the section
"Adjusting stations" or "Storing stations manu-
ally" in this chapter).
All other functions are available in the following
3 menus in menu mode:

Waveband/memory bank
Memory location of the current station
(if stored)
Traffi c information priority
Bluetooth® status
Display area for frequency, time, station
name and radio text
Menu selection
List: In the List menu, the frequencies/
stations stored on the station buttons are
displayed in a list and can be selected.
Tune: The Tune menu provides functions for
scanning stations and automatic station
storage.
Band: The Band menu allows selecting the
waveband or the memory bank.
