❑ Set the engine into the engine mounting slot on the right side of the
fuselage and adjust the depth of the engine, so that the front of the drive
washer is 1/2" (13mm) in front of the fuselage.
IMPORTANT If your engine's crankcase is wider than the engine
mounting slot, you will need to cut the engine mounting slot wider. If you
do, remove equal amounts of material from both the top and bottom and
be careful not to alter the thrust angle.
❑ Double-check that your engine is parallel to the top and bottom of the
engine mounting slot and that the depth of your engine is set correctly, then
mark the positions of the four mounting holes onto the fuselage side.
❑ Drill 5/64" (2mm) diameter pilot holes through the fuselage at the marks
you drew, then enlarge the pilot holes for the engine mounting screws, using
a 1/8" (3.2mm) diameter drill bit.
IMPORTANT Be careful that you drill the holes straight through the
fuselage and not at an angle.
❑ Install the engine, using four M3 x 25mm socket-cap screws, four M3 flat
washers and four M3 lock nuts.
