Step 3: Adjusting the Wheel Pants
With both wheels and wheel pants installed, set the airplane on its wheels on a level surface. Adjust the wheel pants
so that the bottom rear portion of the wheel pants are level with the ground. Double-check that both wheel pants are level
with each other.

Step 1: Aligning the Engine Mounting Beams
The references in the next few procedures are taken from the consideration that you are looking at the front of the airplane with the
airplane right-side up. The engine can be mounted either upright or inverted. Mounting the engine inverted makes for a cleaner
installation, but mounting the engine upright makes the engine easier to tune. No matter which way you mount your engine, the
crankshaft should line up with the intersection of the horizontal and vertical lines drawn in the first few procedures below. This will
ensure that the engine lines up with the cowling when it's installed later. This manual shows mounting the engine upright.
