PRO TIP Don't apply epoxy to the fuselage before sliding the wing into the fuselage. Slide the wing into the fuselage first, then
apply epoxy only to the wing, as described in the remaining procedures below. This will prevent the epoxy from spreading over
the entire length of one half of the wing when you slide it into place.
❑ After the epoxy has fully cured, look closely at the glue joint. If there are any gaps between the wing and the fuselage, fill them,
using 30 minute epoxy for added strength.

❑ Use a heat-sealing iron to adhere the covering material down where you
cut it.
☞
This will keep the covering material from wrinkling or pulling loose while
you install the wing.
❑ Apply a strip of masking tape to the top and bottom of one half of the
wing. Align the edge of the masking tape with the outline that you drew
previously.
IMPORTANT The masking tape will make it easier to clean up the epoxy
when you install the wing.
❑ Slide the wing into the fuselage up to the edge of the gluing strip.
❑ Apply a generous amount of 30 minute epoxy to the gluing surfaces on
both the top and the bottom of the wing, then slide the wing into place and
realign it.
❑ Wipe away any excess epoxy, then double-check that the wing is aligned
correctly. Use a builder's triangle to ensure that the wing is perpendicular to
the fuselage side, too.
