PRE-OPERATION CHECKS
OIL FILLER CAP
When the engine oil is contaminated
or discolored, replace with the fresh
engine oil (see page
111
replacement interval and procedure).

Install the engine cover and lock it
securely.
Do not overfill the engine oil.
Check the engine oil after refilling.
Excessive engine oil as well as the
insufficient oil could cause damage
to the engine.

Fuel Level

FUEL GAUGE
(Equipped Type)
Check the fuel gauge and refill the
tank to the upper level mark if
for
necessary. Do not fill the fuel tank
above the UPPER level mark.
Open the vent knob before removing
the fuel filler cap. When the vent
knob is firmly closed, the cap will be
difficult to remove.
Use automotive unleaded gasoline
with a Research Octane Number of
91 or higher (a Pump Octane Number
UPPER LEVEL
of 86 or higher). Use of leaded
gasoline may cause damage to the
engine.
Never use an oil/gasoline mixture or
dirty gasoline. Avoid getting dirt,
dust or water in the fuel tank.
Fuel tank capacity (separate tank):
25 (6.6 US gal , 5.5 Imp gal)
